Grout dry before sealing?

for cobbs sealer, it does not need to be dry and actually helps it dry overall once applied. not sure with other companies sealers though sorry.

I leap frog fans around and right after I am done cleaning I start sealing....

I use Stone Tech heavy duty sealer.......

Solvent floats on top of water. So, if there is water in the grout, the solvent can't penetrate as deeply if the water were not there to block it. Dryer floor = better results

Of course you wouldn't want water in The grout lines before you start to seal. Just finish the job, get hoses back on truck while letting an airpath(s) or air overs dry the area(s) by the time you are done putting everything Up in the truck go right at it sealing. To this day never have had a problem. Never

Fluorochemicals WILL displace water.

Look at what happens when you drop some "fluoride-containing toothpaste" on water in the sink.

The Fluoride displaces the water to a larger dry circle.

Back to the question . . . . we like to let grout dry to a damp condition before applying solvent-based Ultraseal Impregnator.
