Grout might not look the same when dry...

This is the slate I posted about a few weeks ago(http://mikeysboard.com/threads/tile-gurus-how-would-you-tackle-this-slate.282349/), went back the next day for carpet cleaning. Don't often get to see how things turn out.

Felt like I won the lottery when she opened the door and it didn't look like complete shat! Looked 100% better the following day.

I didn't seal it that day it looked so bad. Used three products, floor machine, scrubbed my arse off... Still sucked. Figured I'd have to re-clean and knew it wouldn't help.

Thank you, Carl Maddox(clean image) you were right it was color sealed. When wet, it had some spots that were stark white and right next to it nasty areas. Wire toothbrush and it came off easy. It did seem like some of the color seal might have soaked in and maybe helped when dry? Maybe?

Nice Jerry! What product did you use to clean it with stripper acid alkaline?

I should of added that some grout needs 24 hour to fully dry. I have seen white grout turn brown when cleaned...set fans and nothing. next day white. sometimes it just takes time

Yea, and I knew it would look better when dry. But actually acceptable(by me) and nice looking... I was surprised.

Powermax and a couple cups of floor stripper. Then some procyon t&g type cleaner.
