Hello,

I'm a hack with a Nautilus MX3-1200.

Typically we just hack on CGD with a Cimex, but on occasion need to wash away the sins of encap and thus in need of a wand to accomplish this. What do you fine fellas recommend?

I was thinking of a Bentley pro speed wand, but I'm not a pro. Was also thinking of a Hydro-Force CX-15, but I don't want to deal with swirls that I've read about while lurking on this board. In either case not sure those are a good fit for a porty.

Thanks for any possible assistance!

Have Mikey set you up with a wand with a Greenglide on it. It will provide less resistance when cleaning and make slinging any wand easier.

The CX 15 is going to use a lot of water, probably not your best choice with limited recovery.

The Bentley? I'm not much for Mytee products.

What about an Evolution? They are light weight and a better match for a portable.

Do you have 3 power cords on that?

Thanks I'll check out the Evolution. I know Mytee is hit or miss, it just looked easier to use with the wheels.

aw29 wand for your porty.
It's damngood wand
250-350psi and slow the fc down on the back stroke

pay no mind to pack following parrots that will suggest a wand that costs as much as your porty.
(unless you plan to buy a TM with a #4 blower)

.L.T.A.

lol

It's true, it's just a wand.

Why not?

is there a slightly sexier version of the AW29? 🙈
No offence, but good lord!

A porty just doesn't put out enough pressure to run it. It's like CFM and Lift are two different things. Horsepower and Torque. PSI and Flow. You really need a truck mounted system to run it. Running 500 psi off a truckmounted CAT pump is different from a porty pump. Also, the CX-15 is really only good for large open areas. 500 porty psi is different from truckmount 500 psi, and I don't care what anyone says. The porty CFM of the blower and torque/flow of the pump is just too weak to run the tool.

Get a Devastator 12" swivel wand with 1.5 titanium tube and be happy.

I'm not offended at all. I just posted to learn because I don't know which wand to use and I don't want to grow a collection of them. I know electric power is different than gas power. It is a 1200 PSI machine and of course they claim you can run a CX-15 on it, but I'm sure that in a lab.

With just over $400, that wand will last well into your first truckmount! Buy it, thank us later
on your next purchase.
lol

I have a old TM. We're mainly a janitorial company that has to maintain a minimal amount of carpet and trying to use the amount of hose we need for 2nd and 3rd floors in secure locations is impossible. Sadly it's a porty, encap or nothing.

Well just for shits and giggles I'm going to drop a line here. The glided AW29 is a great wand for porty work. I've used it for longer than I can remember.

HOWEVER

I got to try out an evolution for a few minutes the other day hooked up Hydramaster 4.8
The ease of operation was impressive. The weight was really good too. I can see one in my future.

The benefit of the evolution 12 is that it'll come with a brush glide here shortly and I have serious doubts on whether or not we can get one to work with AW29.

I have a brand new one as well as the 15-inch that I'll be testing our carpet glides on next week
