I ended up using some bane gel solv to get most of it out and a couple towels. There is still some blue and green but it stopped coming out so we decided she will try with some turpentine in a couple days.
its oil paint also.
I wasnt feeling well today neither. Found out I may need a defib.

It's looking good Steve. Just tell her to go to Home depot and invest in a $100rug to throw over it

I told her she shouldve just signed the carpet.

Ive been removing her "art" for quite some time now. Usually after she cleaned it first.

Once you've got the majority of the product out, it's a good candidate for treating with a 2 part ammonia/peroxide solution such as Esteams Eliminate. I find it usually works better than the 1 step solutions. Just spray it on and walk away. It will work until it dries, about 2-4 hours.

How much time did that take?
I spent about an hour on the paint.

I didn't charge much just $100 and I cleaned her traffic lanes.

I debated on charging at all because it wasnt completely removed.

I did treat what was left with stain magic but I doubt it helped.

with stain magic or other peroxide agents, you need to be able to go back to evaluate their effectiveness. I often make arrangements to return. I been very surprised on some jobs that all traces of color is gone, on others, not so much. It gives you a feel of what you can or can't do with those products.

She will call me with final results and I will see it again next year at the latest.

Screw that!

You work, they pay. Results are not guaranteed. Just trying take time and ya only have sooo much "in life"...

Don't take the monkey off her back---she made the mess, you helped clean it up. If you want to give it to her for free you should have just stayed home.

You get paid for the attempt not the result..........Especially if the customer tried to clean it up before you got there..........

Unless you over sold yourself and then it bit you in the ass.......Then I can see you not charging her..... Just my .02 cents!

If she had called the local department store cleaners, they would have charged extra for every stain, for the prespray, sold her scotchgard, deo, etc and not have done 1/10th of what you have done. We all want results but we can't be supplying top quality chemicals and training for free. You improved it considerably, maybe it could be tweaked a bit, maybe not.

This sounds to me like a guy who cares about the quality he provides for his customer. But there is a balance that we all need to find when it comes to what we deliver and what we charge. It's different for each of us, but a business that doesn't come to terms with that fact and act on it will eventually have to close their doors.

I think you did fine.

We will spend thousands of dollars on classes to learn this stuff but not give a good customer who refers me a break. Same as marketing.

I made a few bucks and kept the enthusiasm for my work going. I also learned a few things. All in all it was a good day.

And the van wasnt running!
