hair dye

went to a customers home today and on the walk thru hubby pointed out a spot of what looks like (is) brown hair dye on a low cut nylon carpet ( tan ).This is a first for me and they are great yearly customers.hubby said he tried Acetone and no success.Can this be removed? :idea:

thats what i suggested,he said he has new remnants of the carpet as well

A lot of various hair dyes available. So this won't work for everyone. But I would first clean with a volatile dry solvent like our Solvent Clean. Follow with a reducer and heat treatment. This would be RedZONE, Red Relief or similar.

The other option would be bonded insert.

If you have an iphone or a droid download the CTI Stain Guide. Use Power Gel then Red Relief. Not sure if the Acetone set it or not but 99% of the time Power gel and Red Relief will take it right out. If you use Stain Magic you set it and own it so DON'T do that.
