I bought this Hoover after asking the same question and Mikey suggested it. Very pleased with it. Lots of suction and easy to handle and store.

I agree with Mike. The hoover is what I use on upholstery 90% of the time.

I have one with a beater bar but it's really unnecessary for upholstery. The one I have has been discontinued.
