Welcome to the 50 and over club Mikey! Look for your AARP card to arrive any day now!
I was at the feed store a couple of weeks ago buying horse feed. The cute little gurl checking me out asked if I was over 55, I reluctantly admitted yes. :errf:

She said you get 5% off you purchase. I told her I'd gladly give the discount back to be younger. She said everyone says that. I told her because its TRUE! :winky:

I refuse to get older. I've unplugged my alarm clock so I think I've got the system beat now!

Just tell them you make up for your age by being immature.

Happy Birthday my friend. Lora and Shawn were talking last night and Lora asked me if I was still planning to go to Belize next year and I ask what? She said "you said you wanted to go back to Belize for your 50th" I said WHAT Holy shit I'm gong to be 50 next year with real honest fear. For someone that honestly didn't expect to live to 30 to be staring at 50 is damn scary..

Several years ago, a good friend of mine (who is now 76 and leading an incredibly active and productive life) told me this:

"Jim, my life didn't begin until I was 55. Before that, I coped with depression, anxiety, and an unrewarding job. Now I couldn't be happier."

I wasn't sure I understood how he could say that then, but today I can say the same thing.

I have never been in a better place in my life than I am now, and wouldn't trade any of my yesterdays for how terrific today is, and tomorrow promises to be.

May you entering your fifth decade be as good for you as it has for me Mike.
