I am designing a consumers guide of sorts that I am going to give to my property managers to give to their renters. The consumers guide is designed to help renter keep their flooring in good shape and get their deposit back.

I will have sections on how to properly care for carpet, including the recommended schedule and a "Oops Journal" to log any spills on the carpet.

A section on care for routine tile and grout cleaning

A section for hardwood floor care

I have everything done, except for the hardwood floor care tips. For those that work with hardwood what tips would you give to a homeowner on how they can properly care for the hardwood floors?

Thanks for the tips.

No latex or rubber backed mats or sticky mats on wood floors.

No cleaning products that leave a film.
