A home we are working in right now does not have a 30 amp circuit anywhere in the house, the dryer and stove are both natural gas. My etes 220 would need to have an adapter that goes from a female to 2 120's males...has anyone run into this before?

I called both Jondon and TES and they both told me the only way would be to get an electrician to wire a temporary 30 amp right on the circuit breaker. I can't use a generator due to the noise in this neighborhood.

Is the electrician the only solution in this case?

Thanks,
Bill

120V recepts in a home are normally max 20A, so a pair of 120V circuits in series would only get you 20A at 240V, short of the 30A you need. Have the electrician temp in a 30A breaker.

Bill we had an electrican make us up several different options of temp power, that way its fast and easy for him to hook up temp power. I'd call an electrician and develop a relationship with him. You never know when you need temp power.
