I need a saiger super hot with hot sauce!
I cleaned a resturant last night that called me in, not because the carpet was dirty, but because the wait staff were complaining that the carpets were getting too sticky. I have cleaned a lot of grease in my day but i think sticky grease may be a new level. I will try and post pics from my phone.

it was one of those upscale yuppy places where the kitchen is open to the restaurant. Some people will continue to astound me about how little they care about their image and how they look to customers. A restaurant better have dang good food if they want me to come back when I see that kind of dirty on the floors. Dirty front end = disgusting back end and a clean front end = a dirty back end to me.

I agree if the carpet gets that bad, most likely the hard surfaces need attention before the carpet... I've done some restaurants and have slipped on the greasy tile in the kitchen... A little left over Chemspec Endzall and a glided wand did a good test clean on the tile... 1 place actually took our advice and changed up there nightly mopping... There carpets are staying cleaner and they also started to use 6' walk off mats before the doorways...

Having grown up in the restaurant business and now being in the cleaning industry, most restaurant managers haven't got the slightest clue in putting together a cleaning regiment for their kitchen and wait staff from what I see in restaurants. No walk off matts from the kitchen to the dining area, in effective floor cleaners, not enough mopping etc. And certainly not enough carpet and tile cleaning. Like do you really need someone to tell you that your carpets shouldn't wait to get this bad before you clean them.

I complained to the manager of a bob evans about the condition of carpet and tile yesterday. It keeps getting worse each month and the tile is nasty causing the carpet to get dirtier.

I was told corporate told them to use just water because the soap wss making the floor to slippery.

I will be teaching them how to mop soon.

We have a local Chinese buffet, I get Montezuma's revenge every time I go there. In 5 years of being open they never cleaned the carpet. They just put new carpet in when it got really bad.
