Help on Wands

Currently have 2 x 1.5 2 jet (I think they are porty wands) on our TM, got my hand sorta
slapped and was told to look at upgrading to a 2" wand.

I like the price and features of the Bentley, don't look bad either. Anyone use one or have used one?


I run our Roto without 1.5 leader, so I imagine there are some quirks to running a wand without aswell.

I have a couple of 2 inch wands you can borrow if you want to drive the 200 miles to get them.

I went back to inch and a half wands a year ago. Two inch is too bulky and tiresome and I honestly don't see any significant performance difference between the two. Certainly not enough to warrant fighting two inch hose all day.

2-inch is not that much difference to warrant changing to a 1.5.

A few points about the lies that Chavez just posted.

1.Not the first time he's googled that word.
2.He'd never make it past the pr0n sites to get to any so-called "organic listing"
3.He only said that because the thought of losing half an inch scares the life out of him.
4.When's the last time "Mr. In A Meeting" ran a wand all day?

I have a PMF 802 with a Greenglide on it. It has two jets.

My 6 jet Titanium wand sits in the corner with my Greenie wand all day.

We never watch TV, only have basic cable because it comes with the phone and internet. Our TV was given to us used by my mother-in-law right after we got married and it sits in the fireplace. It's probably 18 years old.

Greenhorn with holed glide Is the best tool ever IMO but I have not tryed other high end wands.

There is some performance loss when you drop to 1.5". You can minimize that by running 2" hose directly to the wand. I used a porty wand with my TM for years. Would never go back to it though, however, I understand about the increased strain from using a 2" tubed wand. It is harder on the wrist.

I really like the angled jets, whether on 12" or 16", 1.5" tube or 2". If I were going to go for a smaller wand, ie 12" head, I'd probably go to a 1 3/4" wand, run 2" hose directly to it, have it fitted with angled jets and run 04's, for a 8flow, and a glide. Then I'd run the TM at around 400psi.

Yea, Umm it sounds like a wand build after party best suited for a MF event.

Pretty sure Cat won't be as happy after swinging a 2" hose for hours on a commercial job. Happy Wife makes a Happy Home.

I run it solo but we can run dual, Two wands or wand and Roto.

Only use a porty when the van won't fit in the service elevator........

Honestly I would rather, eventually invest in a new Porty than another wand but someone let my squirrells loose!

Larry B. In Pigeon Forge is running a crew of Greenies now. He was looking for one so he would have all Greenies, so I past on the last one ( nice guy ain't I), now that he is happy I am back on the hunt. Asked him if he found anymore to let me know since he seems to have them all now, lol

It was a strategic move, especially since he's so close to us.

I use a 2" titanium from Joe. It has multiple very adjustable jets and you can cut the tube to fit your height and comfort level. This is a very impotent feature. If the wand don't fit, it is schit!

Take a 14 inch westpak/cmp wand and throw extenders and a glide on it and viola, greenhorn wand! I have a gh in the garage with a brand new never installed glide if ya wanna make me an offer on it.
