Good morning carpet cleaners, duct cleaners and WDR contractors...I could use your help...PLEASE!

For those that have bought and used Seal-A-Door, what "feature" provided the tipping point for you to purchase, e.g., "Risk Free Guarantee", versatility, peer pressure, etc? What has frustrated you once you had the product in hand, e.g., customer service, took too long to ship, "doesn't work as promoted", flimsy construction, follow-up by company sucked, etc.?

If you haven't yet bought/used a Seal-A-Door, why?...I don't believe the hype, I don't need this contraption, it's not conveniently available (i.e. not at my local supplier), can't find any information about it, it to complicated to place an order or takes too long to get one, "just another fad", etc?

We at Seal Canvas Products are constantly wanting to improve our performance and our products...your honest and straight forward evaluation of our product and process helps structure our future actions and performance.

Thank you for your help!!!

Once the seal a door is up, can you easily walk through it to get outside or does it require unzipping or unfastening of any kind? It makes since for cold weather cleaners.

Thank you for the question, John. It is a spring loaded frame....simply compress down, pull aside, walk out and "replant" frame post...literally a 3 second operation!

And just one more comment, John. We tout it as an "every season accessory"....it is just as important to the customer to keep the heat and humidity and bugs out (and the air conditioning and pets "in") as it is to keep the cold out. We had a user post this past week that "...in Florida, the outside temp and humidity were oppressive, Seal-A-Door kept the inside temp at a comfortable 74 degrees for the entire 3 hour cleaning operation. Summer is usually our slow time....not this year...not with Seal-A-Door". I have "paraphrased" slightly...but the theme is accurate!

How about one frame work and a way to have a screen or the vinyl. Maybe a system of snaps to inter change. That way you don,t have to buy two of them. That is the only thing holding me back from buying one. I can,t decide which one.

Laziness mainly :icon_redface:

In Buffalo we definitely have a need and the cost is definitely worth it.
One of these days...

Never seen one. I guarantee it would be a hit with my customers. They constantly worry about the lizards getting in. Some even guard the door. To lazy to add something else. Get Saiger to make a video so I can see how fast they go up.

Ok so I looked at your site. You show it on a normal door. Don't see many of those here. Most of the homes I visit are custom along with the door. They seem taller and wider than a normal door, they might not be but they sure seem like it. How does your contraption work on these.

Add on some kind of "Wireless devise" that will apply a minor "punitive electrical shock" to the techs IF there forget to use it!

Then this devise can be re-configured to public restrooms for when people fail to wash their hands! I'd hang out at busy restrooms that had this devise because It would be hilarious the first 2 weeks!

I currently use the puffy door thing, works okay. I would very much consider your product at some point.

Ron,

The fact that you are here and asking for advice/ideas/etc. can only help in the long run. Just keep getting the word out!

One thought I did have about your product... Have you thought about making them for garage doors? Maybe down the road? Not that you need more work... But... In the midwest(chicago) LOTS of people use their garage as extra living space. Really, people hang out in the garage here, pool tables, bars, couches, etc...

Does the plastic sit directly on the door frame, or is there some felt or something like that on it to protect the customers door? Has there been any concern from customers about this?

There is Felt on the top of the posts. I cant remember what is on the bottom of posts- Im on vacation now. the felt did get dirty some how and left marks on frame which wiped right off.
I fits better and is easier to install and Has More WOW factor then the Puffy door guard competitor IMO.

Good morning Gene...I can sure appreciate that concern....who wants to buy something that can't be used! I would suggest that the "Combo" will take care of modest height differences...but...if most of your customers have the "executive" style (96" high) doorways, then the "Jumbo" would be the ticket. I'm sure you must run into executive style doorways WITH an arched top....we haven't figured that one out yet....but we will! We have done "special" sizes for the occasional "off-standard" sized doorways....if you will let us know what the "most common" size is, we'll get 'er done for you!

Good morning Charlie...we do have both ends (top and bottom) of the frames protected with felt pads. We glue them on (as compared to just using them with the factory adhesive), but they can potentially come off. If that does happen, they can be bought at your local hardware store.

That's a great idea....at least for the "Super Screen" version. We'll give it a "shot"!

Thank you one and all for responding to my "information" request that was posted here yesterday. I was searching for constructive critiquing that would help us be better at what we do. This is what I heard (in general terms): "Should be easier to find information about the product, more convenient to order and accept credit cards on line so I can click and be done". No excuses....we will accelerate our web site reconstruction and positioning. Stay tuned.....

Jerry....I had and used the "puffy" door seal, and it now hangs in the shop. For the time and hassle of the puffy seal, the "Seal a Door" takes literally.....seconds to retreive from the van and install on custys door.

Ron.......as great a product as this is, there are some cleaners that just won't be bothered with this idea. I think it's great, and will serve me and my customers well. But, as I learned over the years, what you or me thinks is a great product, others couldn't be bothered.

I'll probably be buying the screen version soon. Not to say that SAIGER had any infuence on my purchase........:icon_rolleyes:
