hell yea....

we'll do it like this;

you have your side, I have mine.
we'll let the audience judge the results

no rOcket sUrgery weight and measures
no side show tricks like you running it over on my side to show dIrtY wAteR being pulled thru yjr clear vac tube

we'll simply let the attendees deem the chAmp
win, lose or draw

only on the most vile, nastiest carpet can you really see dirt is coming out in the tube. there is to much air in the tube. We need some rat nasty carpet for this comp. And not something dragged through the parking lot. I've done this with new carpet before and anything can clean it because the soil is not truly embedded thoroughly in the carpet.

A deep pile white nylon that has been soiled for years should tell the tale.

Anyone have a Rotovac two head to see how it compares with the 360i?

My money is on the Rotary Jet Extractor.

All this assuming you are using the same machine with the same heat capabilities.

Same mount, same hoses and same chems will be used.

Larry, I'll take a unmarked pos 1911 instead of the $500.

Unfortunately, a deep, plush, cut pile nylon is where I would prefer a pre-scrub and a wand, actually a zipper Jr. shiteatinggrin

as much as I think the people at rotovac treat their long time customers like shit I have been experimenting with my originals, 360 and my 175 and it is gonna be tough. I think the original wins vs the other 2

if all you guys are going for is appearance, may as well throw in a OP machine and a Greenhorn with a stiff grooming brush.
Or is the point to see how fast to get it "acceptable" appearance?

Besides....
This is an unfair competition.
Larry is just another BDCC while Mikey is a manufacturer.

Wish I could be there to see this. My $$ would be on the 175/brush with a wand. Never seen this 360i thing in action personally, probably another expensive gimmick like the RX-20. Plus it also depends on condition of carpet and who's doing the work.

not at all Lee

the bet was never for "five" hundred

Ron, with the piece I've found, an OP or grooming brush and wand would only make a dent

to me this is just like the Bissel vs Dyson gig I did in Knoxville
Hell, i got nothing to lose...It's MIKE's reputation, not mine..I've never run a 360i.
I'm confident , but I've already said we'll let the chips fall where they may..just like i did before my cheap Bissel beat the Dyson

If RV beats a roto and wand, I'll probably take one home from the show

Seems to me that a carpet can only get so clean...and that's "clean".

I think you both are hacks for just having the contest.

You BOTH should be able to get the carpet completely clean with either equipment.

Now if you're going for speed or whatever then I can see a contest...but that doesn't take away from the hack part. !gotcha!

Is the backing sound on the peice Larry?

why??

will it be to MY advantage if it's not??
if so, I'll keep looking

yea it should be OK , Cody cut it, so i haven't seen the backing yet, but wasn't noticeably delaminated that I cold tell
It's not that old, maybe 5-7 years

I'll try and find another piece between now and then too so we'll have a couple salvage rags to play with.
But I'm not going hog wild, cause I don't feel like hauling a couple hundred sf of garbage for ten hours to Nashville....
