With all your decades in this industry what now in 2010 would you say....does the future look like for our Industry? What will a carpet cleaning company look like in 10 years? Will an o/o always be in the control seat?

Will there be any carpet installed in 10 years?

What will be the average price for cleaning be?

What will the average tm sell for?

What will the average o/o be as far as age/education/ gender/ nationality?

Will the Ken Snows take over/ or will the o/o rule the day.


Will we be green and all electric or spewing hydro carbons every where?

Is there any truth to the rumor that Jondon is for sale?

If so, why?

Look at the prices 30 years ago (same as today)....do you think anything will change?

Same as today but will out perform todays junks.
What will the average o/o be as far as age/education/ gender/ nationality?
It will be more than likely older dudes owning and all kinda dumb foreigners as techs. shiteatinggrin
Will the Ken Snows take over/ or will the o/o rule the day.
I think Ken types businesses will always have a bit more say in what customers think as standard in cleanliness and price.

2. The price will INCREASE...as their will be less carpet to clean..."Supply / Demand".. :idea:

3. Truck mounts..will become obsolete.. Fossil fuel's will SOAR...government regulations.

4. The average O/O..will be a Dinosaur's...High School education...Cacusuan...American

5. The large multi-truck companies will gradually downsize their cleaning units..and convert
their assets into installation services...The NEW carpet will be environmentally safe and will
be NON-ALLERGENIC... :shock: these NEW carpets will be DISPOSABLE...and will be
RECYCLABLE... :idea: They will be CHEAPER to REPLACE than to CLEAN..... :!:







Ps The HANK'S brothers have been "FIRING" all of their High dollar employees for the PAST
YEAR..."Cleaning up their Bottom line" They are EITHER positioning themselves to "BUY or SALE"

Either WAY....someone is going to be a MONOPOLY....

The outfit that knows how to make peeps happy, and adapt to remain profitable will do fine.
Donno who will be, or is now, in the "control seat"
However, imHo, the O/OP has the advantage then, now and in the future .
Largely due to needing a smaller pool to swim in.
There will always be opportunity for the sharp, motivated owner/OP

If the same thing happens here in a year or two, then new carpet sales will crash and burn and maintenance of ANYTHING including carpet will skyrocket.

Things will continue along the same as always. Change usually takes a long time. Look at 10 years ago. Not much different from today. Until we run out of oil, the world is not going to stop burning it.

I'm not sure what happening around the rest of the country/world, but there is still a lot of carpet being installed.

A nuclear bomb in the middle east would be the "end of the world" for a lot of folks.
