How are margins holding up in this new economy ?

Seeing any trends not seen before.?

What are you selling more of....new or used tms?

Have leases for new tms dried completely up?

Any new type financial tools being used to push sales?

Seeing any price increases in raw materials.....if so, how much?

How many newbies to the Industry are showing up for classes and buying restoration equipment?

Where do you see the industry heading?

People are getting more interested in restoration.... there's going to be a plethora of restoration companies.

Margins I believe are still the same, but I've noticed more distys wheeling and deal and combining things and taking less of a cut. "Buy this item and get this item 25% off" ... I know it sucks when your inventory isn't moving. Can't afford to keep storing stuff, and piss off the manufacturer if you don't regularly buy and moving their products.

I think the distys that are still doing well are simply buying smart, buying in bulk, and some not all pass the discount back onto the cleaner to stay competitive.

Used truck mounts are really moving from what I can tell, I don't know how well the new ones are turning over.

I'd rather own a cleaning business than a disty.
