Hiring for carpet cleaning technicians in March? Why March?

I have emailed 3 companies to ask if they are hiring carpet cleaning technicians.

ALL THREE replied saying that they will be hiring in March.

Why March?

This is in Canada btw.

It makes me think that many carpet cleaning technician jobs are temporary.

Winter is generally fire & water damage season. Carpet cleaning goes on year round but not in volume it does the rest of the year

They have enough carpet to cover the incoming work and just don't need the help.

Because they can only afford to feed you part of the year. Better save up for those slow months.

Frozen pipes burst and heaters catch fire along with christmas trees.

Heating season and low temperatures can increase the frequency for incidents.
