I usually pay 10% for refferals, but I think I'll have to pay more to make it worth his time.

I was thinking 10% of the 1st year on repeat clients like resturants and other commercial properties, so instead of paying $20 on a $200 job the first time, I'd pay $240 if they had the place cleaned every month. I

know it will be a lot of work in this economy, so maybe I should pay 15%,

I need to have room for profit, and this will be much cheaper than advertising

I don't have time to target every potential client, and I have a friend who is great with people and made a lot of money buying and selling houses, paying no more than 60cents on the dollar for them when the market was good.

He has time to help me with my business for a couple of months, oviously I can't pay him the real estate money he was used to making, but I have to pay him enough to make it worth his time.

What's the highest commission you'd pay to have a friend get work for you?

I pay $8 an hour and 10% and require a report on who was called and contact information and when the calls were placed. Outside meetings need to be posted to my email if she wants to get paid for the time. If she has a good few days I give her a few extra dollars. She is responsible for tracking invoices and she is paid when I get paid
