I got a job offer yesterday to "take charge" of a cleaning division for a pretty big company here.

Hmmmm- What would you do?

Willy you should do it.

Good job security, and you can still work your gig after work or weekends if you still wanted or needed to or you could hire someone to clean for you.

How much does it pay?

I turned down an offer last year after going back and discussing with my wife.
Pros and Cons etc. Finally said no because of my rogue spirit.

Man if the job didn't pay at least 300k a year it would be a waste of time; not to mention a possible hug paycut!!

LOL..That is s'posed to be a joke, right?
'cause you're not really suggesting your salary is over $300K?
Not talking about your GROSS janitorial co sales, I'm talking "your" salary

Willy, only you can answer what's best for "you".

You'll get even fatter.

I took that fat comment seriously- I've run 6 miles on the treadmill the last 3 mornings and weight trained in the evening.

Willy, If it is a job that will pay you what you need. And is a real job that gives you benefits. Will the job last you 5 or more years? Will you be proud to work with/for them? Is there an upside to the new career if you do good? Steady year round paychecks makes me happy. Ron

keep in mind there is no such thing as "job security".

being on my own I can work as long or hard as I want, hire who I need. I can be the owner watching the employee work. I can take a day or week off if need be, or just (no pun intended) willynilly take a Wed afternoon off for family or whoever.

Depending on who the employer is, sometimes it can have benefits. Trade offs to both.

Quality of life

Does it pay enough for you to put up with working for someone else?

Will you be working harder for that pay?

Would working harder at your own business get you paid more?

Would you like it enough to get paid less?
