Scheduled off most of the day to get caught up doing a bunch of area rugs in the shop...well at least the son in law....

I needed to finish setting up our booth at the home show.....

Both Grandsons ended up showing up too....

So, I took the time to feed the new baby, then first grandson found his electric Blue ride on Jeep....so spent some time there....then to the swing and slide....about a total of an hour with that little guy couldn't ever be replaced....

So needless to say, was taking my time to set up....just about done at the arena setting up and get a water call 45 minutes away (it's 1:20 and I need to be at the show open by 4 pm :dejection::eekk:)

We roll with 2 vans, amounts to nothing we could do....need the contractor now for some easy tear our work...maybe some work later....

Had 15 minutes to change and scramble to finish the set up .....

I has gone well though....lot's of people...booked 6 good jobs already, today is 10 am - 8 pm, Sunday 10 am - 4 pm....so far, it has been a great success!

Hand made signs because of the water damage, I didn't have time for the first night to do them on computer....will get changed out today....

And now my very good reason for not being as prepared for the show first day....

My 2 year old grandson making his debut driving his "Mini Me" Blue Saiger's Steam Clean Jeep....

First time ever able to reach the peddle and drive it....and I was there for it!

Everything else in the world for this hour spent with him.....did not matter!!! Will never get those squeals and giggles back ever if I would have missed them with the Jeep, the Swing, the Slide....I was the richest man in the world for an hour :)

He was out looking for Wabbits

Very impressive Mark.

Amazing how much snow is gone already.

Do any other cleaners show up for the event?

This year, we had the 2 major franchise show up....one would usually do it, the other not....

But this year, I think they are on the hunt....but so far....our booth has been very busy, and one of theirs right across from us....NOT!

Other few cleaners in town actually stop by and chat with us...which is good...

There is one small family (Father -Son) franchise.... one van operation, that never does this type of show and hardly any marketing....kind of the lower price guys in town....and they struggle to make a go of things I think....They have never done any show I have ever seen....

But.....we are having a blast and the weather is about perfect...still not warm enough to want to go outside and do yard work,

and sunny so people will probably come to the show....

With just the few I have booked in 4 short hours, my show is paid for and the new contacts made is priceless....

Sure hoping this Spring keeps rocking like it has!

Be sure to introduce yourself to the other booth vendors. Sometimes we would get more value out meeting the other vendors than we would from the general public. Good weather should certainly help! :icon_cool:

We skipped both this year because last year's attendance was down and Dan didn't think it was worth the effort. I heard from several vendors that the Lawrence home show was really poorly attended and for Topeka's show the weather was freezing rain and 3-inches of snow. Just bad luck but I'm glad we missed them both.

WOW! What a crazy Successful co
uple of days!!!

We have booked 25 solid jobs on the schedule....some are HUGE!!!

One of those 25....wait for it.....is a Lake resort with 11 houses....wall to wall carpet cleaning....and the lodge....

SO....add 12 more too that really for 37 really total jobs in a sense for house averages....

Plus....just picked up 2 more large commercial accounts....

We are just killing it for 4 hours the first day, 8 hours today, and 6 hours yet tomorrow and wait until we get the after church rush!

I have been hearing people are showing up just for the show to see us, and make appointments, see our booth and the puppies....

Our people were commenting on our marketing, how fun it was and how much they noticed it....dang....I need to look that over again and take notes....LOL!

Again, sure hopes it continues!

And one of my Brothers, Dave Saiger and his wife came over to visit....

AND...Ron Hunkins and his wife , the makers and inventors of Seal-A-Door live about 90 miles away but came to see us and the show too!

GREAT DAY AGAIN!!

Great job! Fantastic results for the time spent.
I with we could do that our home show is 10 days long pulls 100k
I figured it would cost us 10k to be at the show.
Their are big advantages to being in a mid market.
Big Blue Rocked!
Looking forward to hanging out in FL

I'd worry being next to the Pampered Chef booth, but I think Theresa already has at least one of everything they offer.

It was probably better for them being next to your booth.

Mark- Is everything you wear (and I mean everything) embroidered so you can write them off at tax time? LOL. When I'm off duty, I don't want anyone to know me. Good for you.
