Wouldn't buy their walmart brand for home use; but I have to admit that hoover makes a tough well performing commercial vacuum. They are kinda pricy; that is why I don't use them now.

Mine didn't pick up crap and now that they are Chinese owned I'll never buy another. Check out the Sears Progressive models.

I don't have any experience with that particular Hoover, but it "looks" like the typical Eureka design.
( I "think" it was Eureka that originated that design a million years ago)

I'd expect it has the same virtues and PIT FALLS of the Eureka, Sanitare and all the other Eureka clones

BTW, Sam's Club sells the Eureka Commercial unit for half that price.
but I don't think it's a baggless model

too big and heavy, Eric
imHo, of coarse.
They're built like a tank, but really are no better or worse than any other decent up right
(a cheap Bissel out sucks them too)

BTW, i have one.
I found it in an empty rental.
It's in GREAT shape and has all the attachments.
They left it cause it was "broke", i guess.

it wasn't broke though.
They apparently didn't know how to use the shampoo attachment right.
It was gunked up completely with crusty shampoo/dirt residue.
I had to scrap/chisel the solidified gunk packed in the vac port

if you live close enough, you can come get it

Wasn't that Conquest series avail. in a wide 18" model?

If i had to get a 14" model, I'd just buy 5 of the cheap Bissels for that price, but the idea of an 18" model on commercial is attractive.

For you who pre-vac commercial (I never did) why not one of those 24" wide area vacs?

I've got two 18" Conquests, both better than 15 years old and still going strong. Great vac, built like a tank.

I've had the Conquest. They are too expensive, too much plastic, and Hoover sells DIY carpet cleaning machines to homeowners. Wont ever buy another one.

My present one is Panasonic, less than half the price with on board tools. Dust cups sound good but bags are a buck a piece and cleaner.

Can't beat them in commercial.

Take outside and take dust cup off and shake the cloth bag into the wind.
