I really hope I didn't just jinx us by posting this...

But, even with the past 3 weeks of -25 t0 -32 degrees below zero temps EVERYDAY...

OUR PHONES HAVE BEEN RINGNING FOR CARPET CLEANING WORK! :rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon:

We didn't get in until around 7:30 pm tonight and started at 8:30 am.

Was a beautiful day today being 2o above and higher (probably helped my pissy attitude lately!)

And just a couple minutes ago (8:30 pm) our phone just rang tonight to book another job yet this week! (we will answer all the time in slow season!)

Even my wife has said, this has been incredible.

We are booking like never before for this early in the year.

I don't know why...but we will take ALL OF IT!

Hope you are having a good season...

Don't know what to chalk it up to, but we are super stoked right now

(and still remaining hopeful :shifty::shifty::shifty::shifty:)

Did you cancel your trip to Florida and buy an EZ in a trailer to help Aron?

Think I had that already in the van disguised as "Christine"

And no...he is on his own...just like I had to do when I was young...unless he can find someone who can pass a background check, not have a pocket full of weed and such....

And show up for work before 3:48 pm! :cool:

Residential has been slow, but a super cold snap brought in a nice chunk of extraction work and some contact commercial will make it a decent month for January

@Mark Saiger Are you marketing in the winter? What is driving the work?

We actually never quit our presence in the public eye...but for marketing dollars we have cut back quite a bit.

We have a Facebook presence, some local realtor and visitor guide book ads that help draw some of the visiting cabin owner and new buyers, occasional radio for special ads at sporting events ($68 per night and get good exposure)

We have been established a long time that helps us over others.

I feel confident our Seal-A-Door units have helped us as well because people know we can do the work in the cold @sealcanvas

And our vans really do gander attention for us locally.

We just keep steady on everything for the most part...no special marketing really, but consistent presence I have to say

So far January is up for us. Partly because we had a killer day last week that alone made almost half of our budget/goal for January. We ran a promo for 50% off our T&G cleaning ($1.00 sq fr vs. $2.00). This guy had an estimate from 2 years ago, obviously never found a different company to do the job and called us to take advantage of the promo but it was still a $5,500 job. He also had us seal everything and clean and seal his concrete in the 1000 sq. ft garage. The other job was a ton of upholstery cleaning referred to us by an interior designer we work with and was just under $2k. We had to reschedule two days last week due to weather (schools were closed etc) so this week was good for January.

No jobs next Monday and Tuesday, the truck was rear ended lend of November and now that we are slower we are finally getting it repaired. Thankfully it was still usable for the December holiday rush. John heads to Nexus the last week of January, so I'll keep things lighter then for Brian or will be on the truck with him.

Mark;

I would agree that Jan. has been very very busy this year. In the manufacturing business, this indicates that the Carpet Cleaning Industry is also going well otherwise we wouldn't have the orders.

Glad you are busy as well as others above!

I really like hearing all the good news of people staying fairly busy right now.

At the moment we are more week to week...

But some future weeks this month and next month, we have some good jobs sitting scheduled!

Hope everyone has a killer year! :rockon:

We are running Adwords for several services, boosting Facebook posts for relevant winter services and ran some weather related radio commercials during the freezing weather plus throwing a little money towards geofencing. It keeps us out there but with our business we are so event driven, a person only really cares when an event triggers a need for us.

So that means we have to be a consistent. :winky:
