never tried this but it happend in a pinch.i was haulin my 2 in vac hose up stairs 100 ft=2 50 fters.and i drop em in the hall and uncoil into the master.while doin this the first 10 ft closest to me flipped and when i pulled it broke. So i cut it off and all i had in the van was a new 2 in swivel cuff and a new 2 in barbed coupler.in the end my first 10 ft is a swivel now and that is bad ass because it never gets looped into an asshole and i come out of the home un tangled:headbang:.best part is i didnt loose 10 ft of vac line

depending on your barbed coupler you may be choking your airflow a little

If I understood your first post, you put the couple into the swivel cuff. Just make a complete connection with the swivel cuff, ie male and female.
that will keep your hose pathway open and yet retain your swivel

If you need to put a barbed coupler in, find the post about aluminum thin walled couplers. Or message Lisa, she knows how to get them. The plastic couplers take almost 1/2" out of your inside diameter.
