This one takes diesel. I have heard a lot of problems on review boards but thats usually only what people care to write about. Anyone have any experiences with these machines?

Are you saying the engine takes diesel or the burner does?

I have had one for 8 years and if you can get one that has had the bugs worked out of it then go ahead. I know I would.

Well the company that made them went under. Now the parent company that bought it still puts chemicals out under the brand name but for all intensive purposes Steamway failed in the end.

In my opinion it would be unwise to buy a unit manufactured by a company that went under.
