for younger people who would like to figure it out for themselves, go to the Setting link up in the far right corner and hit unsubscribe from notifications or use the thread tools button just above any thread, to the right

Do you mean the email sent out by MB about it or did you receive another?

MB does send out occasional emails on behalf of advertisers but does not sell the email list. Other places you have signed up for may not have the same policy and there are several places where mailing list can be purchased.

It was direct from him. At this point I'm assuming he got the list from ICS, or maybe TMF since both are known for selling their users email addresses.

No, that came from here Steve.

Advertisers at a certain level are "allowed" to send one email per month to the membership here.

I set it so they get the questions directly sent to them.
