I replace my hose every year. I don't like Goodyear because it sticks to everything. Hard to roll up and dog hair loves it.

It's easy to stop the Black Death from spraying. My lead end has a piece of 3/4" Id clear hose 5' long over it. A hose clamp around the fitting and your good to go. The hose will last longer because now you have a real strain relief and the Black Death just dribbles out the bottom end. I can't be the only one doing it this way.

what happens the lead hose for some undermined reason gets pulled along a wood floor? Could that happen?

Uhh, don't drag your hose across a wood floor or any hard surface for that matter.... Most times people have shut off valves on the leader hose, which will scratch anything if you drag it....

Seems like he said only 1 hose clamp at the fitting.... Shouldn't be too hard to picture...

Is there some kind of hose covering you can use for your 100ft in the home? Something that would prevent scuffs and reduce the heat transfer?

With 100' you can have the disconnect outside the the home, if hose fails, it's outside. I generally run 50' off the tm of steel(goodyear-whatever) hose. This gets me to front door, everything inside the home is parker.

No special covers, no crazy heat transfer.

For $175 from Larry(cobbs) you can go wrong, it will last a LONG time.
