How do you get "carpet fresh" powder out of glue down carpet

I hot water extracted a commercial glue down carpet, not knowing that the client had been sprinkling carpet fresh on the floor. When the carpet dried, there were white blotches everywhere. I thought techs didnt mix powered prespray well, so I told them to rinse carpet again with acid rinse. Next day spots were still there. I discovered later on that it was carpet fresh residue which isn't water soluble. I tried dry vacuuming, but it's not really looking all that good. What can I do to get carpet back to normal appearance????

Fun stuff, for sure.

Pad it back in. I had the same thing on a charity that I cleaned for free.... I went back in dry vac'd, even took a brush pro to it - just made a white cloud of residue everywhere. It was a mess. Finally, I took my OP with encap juice and pad'd it back in. Looked fine after that.

Vacuum vacuum vacuum and when your done vacuum some more. When you think you're completely done vacuum some more. A pile lifter will help.

Heavy pile brush (like a Certified brand pile brush) , vac, rotary bonnet clean

if no pile brush, use a grandi groomer to aggressively rake/scratch back and forth, then vac
then repeat

it sucks, cause you're stuck fixing THEIR mess for free.
It's not your fault, but they'll rarely ever see it that way.

all they know is..." it didn't look like that before YOU cleaned it"

I like the deck brush from lowes, use all the time on all kinds of stuff. I sometimes tell the cust also that on neglected or problem cleanings like yours that it might take a few cleanings to get it up to speed. (Its a process) I use these words all the time. They usually understand and will call you out sooner or you can actually mabey get some more money out of them for your time.
