Didn't even see this easter egg amongst all the other gems until well into cleaning.

Spent 20 minutes blotting, but still just coming. Must have been right down to the pad.

How do you guys get rid of something like this short of a repair?

This was the best room of the lot. Customer happy, but I was not completely.

BTW, this was done with Rotovac Oxy-Enzyme Powder.

Ross;

Our new Dynachem Stain Solv will quickly remove "ball point" and "Sharpie" ink stains.

Apply a trigger sprayer "prespray band" around the edge of the stain . . .

Then apply the Stain Solv with the spout top directly on the ink stain . . .

Extract/rinse with hand tool and cover with weighted paper towel.

Will that work if the carrier part of the ink is gone already?

the only way to remove it is from the bottom up SOrry

take carpet up clean from the back side put in new patch of padding unless you remove the padding and clean the back of the carpet it will keep coming back.

no amount of spotter from the top will solve this problem.

Never tried Larry's solvent, so no personal knowledge about it. Though as a freak accident it seems like Cobb's products are always zzzzz.... best of their kind. That bloody Murphy's law.

However, in my experience: Unless originally it was flooded with peroxide or reducer prior to spotting, as to not to allow the dye sites to accept new dyes, the ink will be dissolved. Once dissolved, some of the ink will come out and some will go into the dye sites.

Once the in the dye sites, it will not come out with solvency. Some time rust removers will help, sometime strong oxidizers will help (dye stripping). Most times it will be permanent.

Ofer;

I think the new Stain Solv will make you a believer.

Sam; It outperforms our POG, which was a good product.

OK Larry.
I'll give it a try.
A question though- Since it is advised to let it dwell, how much of a delamination risk, is there?

Ofer;

I have been tested on 10 different used apartment grade carpets with double applications . . .

and have not delaminated one piece of carpet.

It rinses quickly with water and evaporates quickly.

Definitely less liklihood, compared to Citrus-Solv.
