How many cutting edges in a grain of sand?

I've heard 28, 35, and 57 so far, but nothing to back up the claims.

most sand is the byproduct if erosion so it's rounded and smooth

I was told in my certification class many years ago that sand is abrasive and the amount of sharp edges various from grain to grain.

My friend is in sales and he was "Sales Men of The Year" for selling
sand in Dubi, They cant use the sand there it is round They import it from
the USA becuase our sand here is jagged for sand blasting
