Wash waxed and moderately detailed?

I just found a 17 year old who spent 9 hours here working on 5 cars for $240.

All of them came out 5 times better than I would do..

I did have to let him use my Bissell though..

Can run anywhere from $50 to $100 per vehicle depending on where when and how busy the detailer is.

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, especially considering it was on location.

Under $50 a car you can't complain.

Did you tell him he was a sucker because you had you guy bringing in 10 times that much while you sit there on your butt

Did you guy earn that much?

If he had his own vac, had a monogramed, tucked in polo, khakis and a well formulated wrap on his blacked out Dodge Ram I would have to give him Premium designation.

Hell yes he made more than my Chimp today.

At 17 he wont be paying any taxes on the cash I gave him.

As I heard all throughout my childhood:"Why pay someone to do something you can do...better?"

That's a lot of weed, even in todays economy

A few years ago my neighbor paid some detailer $300.00 for 3 buses. He worked for the school and said he was there all day.

102 degrees here today. I could'nt imagine doing it in this weather for any money.

We get ours washed vacuumed and moderately detailed for 30 bucks it takes the guy about 2 hours. For wax probably 40-50 bucks probably no more than 60. My 03 accord needs a wax job though....maybe I'll find out how much next time. He has done a truck (1 ton dodge dually) for my in-laws biz for 100 wax and detail and that's a pretty dirthy not nasty though.

After all the talk about weed I had to read this sentence 3 times before I realized it said "detailer" and not "dealer" Funny how the mind plays tricks on you!

I never own one long enough for it to have to be detailed.
Ive been in this house less than 5 years, and have had 3 trucks.

I'm too anal to let someone else do it. It takes me all day to do one car, and that is with my rotary. Sadly, this carries over to the business. I'm so anal I have problems with delegation.. Nobody does it like me.

One thing I miss about Oregon... I was in good with a bunch of the larger Mexican families. You needed something done on a car, believe me they had a cousin. You just better know what comes around goes around. They need help moving, or something like that... Once you're family, you're family.

Did not have such a good standing with the Mexican Mafia though...

My Corvette is in serious need of detailing since I never get around to doing it myself.

So that's why other cars are shiny. Too much wasted time and money spent on something that rain does for free. Ok sometimes it takes a $5 auto wash.

Why do you need 5 cars? I have 1 personal car that the wife drives. I'm always in the butler and don't have time to drive another. Every once in while I will use the butler for personal transportation though.
