How much is a reasonable incentive payment to a plumber

for a referral?

For those that practice "payola" to get work from folks like plumbers / roto-rooter, what is the normal fee or percentage?

I think some of the systems out there use rewards to get work, is this a good way to go about getting water restoration work?

I think 10% is reasonable but we have never given out finders fee's in years past.

However we are working on something for this fall.

In calling on the Plumbers we have found that some of the little guys may want more than 10% (fookem) and some of the bigger companies don't want anything! (way to ruin a program):shock:

During our marketing we were invited to join programs for Floor Traders (carpet retailers) and a local Wood floor re finisher, both offer a finders fee for referrals.
