How Much is marketing bill costing you

Well I dont know how much to invest on Flyers or direct mailers .Whats the return you guys out there are getting .
In my town 700 bucks for 25000 houses in the area ,for a insert in a flyer

With postcards mailed to nice areas I usually make $5 for every $1 spent. With everything else YP, newspapers I always broke even, but if you do a good job they all pay off in the long run in the form of repeats and referrals, but why spend $90 to gain a customer when you can spend $30 or less.

Also keep in mind that your return will get better each time you mail to an area. Instead of hitting 60,000 homes it is better to hit 20,000 homes 3 times.

If you don't have a website I would also invest there. I now pay $9.95 a month for 10-15 new customers a month.

I can send out a flyer in the local rag, about 10000, for $300, single side black ink on white paper.
Sent out a flyer with $50 off for Jan-Feb, got 7 jobs directly, $2400. 8:1 return. Plus some job indirectly because they kept the flyer till summer.

I sent out 20 postcards on monday....i had THREE come in so far from them...i mailed 200 cards today and another 400 go out tomorrow.....

Since they ARE reminder cards.....by Christmas MOST of them will book...!
