How much should a stone polishing floor machine weigh?

I'm gonna strap on some Diver Dan belts


What is the ideal weight for most stone polishing? (with Monkeys)

Where's Dana. I think the mp turn into pancakes with too much weight. Thought I heard that somewhere. A weighted driver would do you well , I think they come in at 35 lbs. For powder stone polishing 140lbs should be a good weight for most stones.

Yeah, see what Dana says.

If I remember correctly, with diamond plates they used machines that were as much as 200 pounds or more..

careful on the weight....

like albert said...Pancaking, the worse part is it will smush it down so there is no surface to expose, once you get your pad a little dirty, wont be able to clean it out much.

also bog, depending on your machine...

id rather have a little faster and a little less weight...

Diamonds are like 10-15lbs per stone, maybe a little higher...but with 9 diamonds (3 on each of the 3 drivers on a cimex) they want over 100lbs....

here is my set up for doing stone or concrete

I tried put 100 lbs on the cc cimex when I had it. Funny, that thing just kept going.

hey if no one is around screw it...and yes it worked very well....extra 125 lbs.....worked like a charm
