When they "need" it?

Every couple thousand hours, or tears if they "need" it or not?

Used to do one every spring and fall back when I ran a TM, put the new one on the "front" rotate the rest back one, always worked out well.

Howboutchew?

I ordered a replacement for my Vortex main reel of 200' a week ago. It's been almost a year and I try to replace them before problems start. However, I ordered from a guy who reminds me a lot of Duane back when he first started out.

No sign of the hose being shipped yet.

Same as Jim but having our own crimping machine allows us to cut off a couple of feet and then re-crimp with new hose-ends more often than that. This has worked out just fine for 12 yrs in our hot summers and bloody cold winters.

But if you insist on using 300 degrees at the wand all bets are off.

I would say once per year for any wire-braid hose used inside the house.

Liability is high for you as an owner (technicians and property).

Liability much higher if you are using a hose over it's temperature rating.

There are a few hoses rated for 275° F.

Every December I buy a 150' and send the old one back. Works for me plus I feel safer.

If using a hydroforce, don't forget about that hose. I did and it cost me a few hundred.

i replace all rubber componants once a year including hoses, tires, belts and any othe rubber wear item. it is better for you to choose when you will replace then they bust or break and you loose out on earning the money that pay for their replacement.
