If I compare this time of the year today as of this time in 2019, I've grown 23% in income. That's a big boost in growth. I think whatever covid has done to our industry has been nothing but good

Sales aren't the problem. I agree. Most cleaners are doing great right now. The problem is with the supply chain. This part of the article touches on what we're seeing in the industry right now...

We lost a third of our business. We had some nicegigs in the $200 hr range we lost. Some $300 an hour.
Lost most of our custodial too.
I'm not complaining though we were working very hard. But a couple of them premium jobs back would be been nice.
There's a couple newer start ups under bidding me by a lot too.
What has happened though is Gennys business is taking off more on the high end cleaning. She is moving away from the sec 8 holes. And I've been pushing her prices higher.

It might be time for me to start advertising again once I get my health back some more.

I have trouble reading. 😉

Where is yours now? I think Dan still has ours but it's been several years since it was used.

Once everyone started saying it wasn't anything more that mop and glow it narrowed where we sold the service.

Sold it to your cousin, who I couldn't convince that it wasnt going to work on carpet..

I dont use too many chems so not to worried. I am however jammed with work, booking a month in advance. Its like the Holiday season. Crazy.
I was looking for advice on booking jobs a few weeks out, It seems like 75+% of customers want it right away, I'm mostly residential.
then I overbook (owner/operator) and become a basket case.

Years ago, I targeted a wealthy, conservative suburb and I’m glad I did.

Those people never made me wear a mask and usually offer me drinks and snacks while I make them laugh as I clean their carpet. Those people only spent more on cleaning since they were home more and never missed a paycheck. Rich people with kids and ornery pets are pretty much recession proof.

I’m also a one man show, so I can work 3 days per week and live just fine.

The volume guys are probably feeling pinched and I’m sad for them.

Far as chemicals, I just got a 30 pound scoop of my favorite carpet cleaning stuff two days later than I normally get it.

Fair enough. I’m OK.

Rick, I got my latest case of Punch on time as usual. Thanks.
