What is the common practice when a client from a large commercial want's you to clean their home. I have been giving them the same price per sq. ft. as i do with their commercial job which is a lot less than residential,and i explain this to them so they know they got a deal.

I charge them the same as anyone else. I doubt most people in this situation are expecting a deal.

I charge the same residential rate as normal.
Cleaning hallways and commercial stairs has less obstacles and risk than in a home. Besides, if I could, I would charge my residential rate for commercial. THAT's where they are getting the break.
