Would you clean this it’s 100% tufted cotton the stain is from Doritos lol

I was thinking I would acid rinse and clean with a sapphire upholstery tool to limit the moisture maybe even encap and pad

What Richard "Desk Jockey" said.

The issue is the dye stain, and what they seem to have done already; neither of which are your responsibility.

The good news is that cotton often releases artificial colors easier than wool or nylon.

Is the stain the only reason they want this to be cleaned? If so, and you think it is worth it for you to do it, give it a light cleaning to get out the particles and grease. Then apply a red dye remover and just let it work without an iron or steam while you find something else to do for half and hour or so and see what happens.

If it does any good at all, you can apply some steam (not with a damp towel, just direct steam) and see if it lightens.

I give it one chance in three.

Ya I prepped them over the phone and quoted a high but fair price

I am on the same page with the all fiber and sapphire tool

I will definitely go over the texture also

Texture distortion after "successful" stain removal is one of the key reasons cleaners end up decorating their homes in "early screw up"

Options to them would be to buy another rug or put a rug on top of it to cover the stain

She was happy 5 star review!

I spent just as much time explaining expectations as cleaning

It looks great, but the your time spent setting realistic expectations had a great deal to do with how happy she was, and the 5 star review.

Did it clean out, or did you need to use a stain remover?
