It involves using Send Out Cards. He set up a years worth cards ( 1per month ) ready to be mailed out to you clients . Just add your data base and your marketing is done for the year just by doing a few clicks on the key board. $97 is more than reasonable considering the time it will save.

I sure like that idea, what I'm disappointed in is that "Send Out Card's" puts their name on it so prominently.

To me it loses a lot of the personal touch when you see it is a Send Out Card. You know or at least I know it's one click and then automated, that really diminishes the value to me. good lord Vawter, just die already.

What is the per piece cost?

Buck a card.

More that a bit pricy if you send out 1000 or more.

But, atleast it is getting done.

A lot more that $97 +Howard gets money for every card sent out, with send out cards affiliate program.

I really don't think this is new.

Howard has been promoting their affilate program for over a decade.

If you want you can set up your own afiliate program and make money from other people's mailings.

Yeah, it can be pricey, but I bet it works, and it is something tangible being done for your business. Personally, I'll stick with the ServiceMonster reminder card program, but Howards program is just exactly the kind of marketing help that I was talking about yesterday on another thread.

I'd much rather put my money into a real, concrete marketing plan than go to a class the talks about marketing plans, but offers nothing other than good feelings.

I agree and probably wouldn't even do that often. Maybe 6 months then every 3 through 2 years and then 1 more on 3rd year then stop. Make sure the clock resets when they have work done.

A $1 per piece is pretty high, maybe triple.

The cost is higher to pay affiliates along the line.

Just the way it is set up.

It's kind of a pyramid

the idea behind it is a relationship building with your client. You send the first three as a relationship builder, then the 4th one marketing, 3 relationship builder, 8th marketing, 3 relationship builder, 12th is marketing. Technically, the one for marketing is going out 3 times per year. good way to keep your name in front of your client. hey now

Marty....help me understand why a one man show in business as long as you would have to do any marketing at all ? Just curious.

I use Send Out Cards but don't send a card a month. I send a Thank You, a post card about my referral program, than reminders at 6, 15, 18 and 24 months all with one click. I send a over sized reminder postcard at 1 year but not through SOC. I also send holiday cards, thank you cards with Starbucks gift cards for referrals and nice to meet you cards for follow up after networking events.

If you like the idea of Send Out Cards just sign up with someone and save $97, don't see where Howard's program would be needed.

If your not sending thank you cards you should, everyone likes to be appreciated.

Customers move out of my service area, or die.

I send out a followup card six weeks after service and then usually every six months after that. Very little other advertising.

Of course, they know the answer to their question, Lee ... but it makes them feel better to act as if they don't. There's no perceived insult otherwise.
