We have one just a few blocks from the shop, I buy everything I can from them.

I'm addicted, I always come out with more than I went in intending to purchase.

They have lots of good stuff and very few bad items. If you're a real mechanic you won't like the quality but for a hack like me it's decent quality at a cheap price. You can out fit every truck with tools and not have a cow when they loose them.

Hardware store quality not nice tools like Snap-on or Matco but if you use tool occasionally and not for a living, it's the place to shop. 8)

Yup, what Richard said. If its something your gonna use once a year, get it at harbor freight. I have 3 years on my dual action buffer I use once or twice a year on my boat. It even came with extra brushes for the motor.

I've done well with their hydraulic stuff, jacks, cherry picker, etc.

edit: I have four grown sons, thus I no longer buy heirloom tools.

Their straps and bungees don't seem to last like others, Most things made with low quality materials. You get what you pay for, aint got stuff for Caddys, bmw's or lexuses..

I bought a Sawsall there and when it quit working they replaced it no charge/hassle.

They have a few name brand things there too like WD40 and the sand paper is as good as you need most days.

Their gloves are the best I've ever worn lasting wise that is. They are black and blue and they out ware leather by at least three times.

what are you looking for, gOOber??

some of their stuff is jUnk, some is good quality and some are acceptable quality for the price

if you need a miter saw, they're a good value.
If you need a portable table saw at a budget price, buy a Ryobi ..cause HF's table saw in a POS.
Their scroll saw is a POS
Their small drill presses are junk
(the bigger ones are OK)

all their "industrial" line of shop tools are a pretty good value
I have their 48" belt sander and 6" planer/joiner and they're both heavy duty cast iron tools that hold up to "real" work
I'll be buying their large band saw 'fore too long

their compressors are hit and miss ..mostly miss from my experience
Their air tools are good though.
I have several of their nailers .... framing, roofing , finish and brad/narrow crown staple nailers
all have been good .
I had a hardwood flooring blind nailer that worked great...til I loaned it to Bob
Don't ask me how, but he busted the fck out of it cause he or the other yo-yo he had helping didn't know how to use it........... and then sent it back to me in pieces

their hand tools come in different levels of quality.
cheap tools like you'd find at Big Lots (not good for anything but a 5 year old to play with)
mid range, which are fine for the average dude
and pro series which are quality tools

their nitrile gloves are worth stocking up on if they're on sale.
Same for their mechanics gloves

Their large steel roller tool boxes with ball bearing drawer glides are hard to beat for the price

Moving Blankets with the coupon. Can't beat it. Tools to carry on the truck so if they go missing no big deal. Latex Gloves are a good price too.

Nice I'll have to try a pair. I've been wearing the green and black "Western Safety" ones they sell. Thin and light weight, you can do quite a bit with them on.

That place is like Sam's Club, I go for one thing and come back with a bunch of stuff I couldn't pas up for the price.

I try to avoid both places as much as I can.

Going there is like shopping at a yard sale, some ok, some bad and some of it is a pretty good deal.

I have to stay out of that store. Lots of stuff I don't need, but might need someday, so I buy it just in case.

I have a sledge hammer from them, works great, also a folding loading ramp 1200 lb capacity works nicely.
