Hung Thermostat

One of my trucks seem to have a "Hung" thermostat. You can move the dial, but it seems to be stuck on 220 on the temp gauge at the truck. Do I need to replace or is there something else I should check first?

I can tell at the wand and on the quick connect fittings.

Also could be diverter not diverting if you have them.

A plugged Heat Bypass Oriface causes similar problems with mine. Also, there might be a Alen screw under the cap of the thermastat knob for adjustment purposes. I don't understand how it works but my mechanic drilled a hole through the knob to gain access to the screw. That way he could adjust it and read the settings at the same time. Keep us posted!
