Hydramaster CDS 4.8 question

Is anyone having problems with the Hydramaster "dumping" water to the waste tank?
I have been told that there is a heate sensor that sends water to the waste tank when the water is too hot.

Yesterday I started with 100 gallons of fresh water and an empty waste tank, did approximately 700 sf of carpet and the machine and the machine shut down because the waste tank was full. The fresh water tank was empty. I was cleaning at normal speed, and the wand was never down for more that a minute at a time.
We replaced the heat sensor several months ago, and still have the problem. Other than replacing the heat sensor, any other solutions.

Thanks

How hot does it need to be to trip it. Mine never gets over 220 or so, even in the summer.
