I dislocated my kneecap on a jobsite. Sore as heck, but I'm getting through it. Anyone else ever do this? How long to heal?

better keep ice on it all night. Wrap it with an ace bandage and stay off of it tomorrow. It will be swollen and sore in the morning. I wasn't able to walk on mine for a couple of days, but my knee cap moved 90 degrees from where it was suppossed to be.

I was walking up stairs also, trying to step OVER a dog gate.

Never dislocated my kneecap before....But, I have dislocate my shoulder. Took me MANY months to heal. Close to a year perhaps.

Broken down the middle, pushed around the corner. Six weeks to no swelling, three months to pain free.
