In the last month I have dealt with 2 episodes of downtime with the Genesis. This last week was the second and last time. Genesis is gone, SS570 on order Just and hoping for better times. I just got tired of working on the Powerclean and hoping to send it back where it came from (Guaranteed) or will list it on Ebay. Hopefully I made the right choice. The first machine (HM CDS made it 25 yrs.) and the Genesis made it 8 years.

The Genesis was not for us. Broke weekly. Our 3 Judson are pretty trouble free but I realize they are not for everyone.

It's true that the Power clean will need to be modified-- our PCS have been "Frankinsteined" to be our own TMs-- but my next TM will be the Everest 870 hp...-- imho-- its 2nd to Aerotech.. then the SS870--then SS570.
For clarity:
AT
Prochem 870 HP
SS870
SS570
Butler
IMO-- based on Specs..

It's a blast to get a brand new machine. Are you getting a new van? The 570 sounds like the perfect slide-in; all the heat and vacuum you'd ever need for single wanding, belts cooled for long life, and a close by service center, and a presumably strong company backing it up. Hope you have good luck with it Doug.

I tried a Genesis for the heck of it. Loved the #5 blower and 2000 psi--pretty handy for some stuff. But that tiny waste tank was pretty annoying. Was supposed to be 100 gal but would only take 45 gal before shut down. Very disappointing. The pump-out was okay but I hated giving the customer their dirt back. Nothing like a 210 gal Butler waste tank. Moved on quickly. Good luck with your new machine, Doug.

I, too, loved my Genesis 59. But it was a Ford powered, non-computer driven machine. Served me well for over 11 years. Some repairs, mostly minor, but one major repair of the Haynes Drive unit. I now have a Thermalwave Vortec 11 which serves me well. But I am moving on to a DD unit for my final machine, to be passed on to my Son in 5 years when he retires. Here's my choices:

1) Butler high heat unit.
2) Cleanco unit.
3) ....and most likely, Pro1200 SS DD, because I have a dealer just 2 hours from me, and I got to see all these units in action in Vegas. I've had it with slide ins.

So, I will have a very low hour Thermalwave Vortec with 100 gallon waste tank for sale, pre filter box set up for 2.5" hose, complete with 120 gallon water tank and diaphram APO, and a brand new, never used 150 gallon waste tank. I can throw a 2003 Chevy Express, extended, HD, in. Needs some body work, but great van, 140,000 mile. And....

A 2003 Genesis 59 HP, with APO, and an extra machine with 59 dual splash blower, and the 2 waste tanks. Both Ford carborated engines. (bought that one for just the spare APO, and got the complete machine).

Also, got a 1995 Prochem 405 Catalytic complete for parts, or could be rebuilt by an energetic person! Has all the HX parts, which are the first to go when owner freezes his machine!

Also........I have a 1992 Powermatic , 2300 hours. But I will keep that one for a back up if ever needed.

I will post these on the Classified Site.
