I UV'd it and recommended replacement but time and budget didn't allow.

all the carpet is upstairs and as you know I'm not a believer in Water Clawing anyways so I soaked it down good with UE and an Oxy/Enzyme Pod and flushed it good but not good enough for the new family..

I blew it and didn't use a urine specific product so now I get to go back and redo it (for $300, due to my minty fresh breath)



I have some Hydrocide and Saigercide on hand..

It's a quat carpet cleaner use it either as a prespray/extraction rinse or bonnet clean with it. $15 a gallon.

2 oz per gallon.

Use the best prespray you have boost it extra with an oxy, let dwell. Think of it this way what creates the smell in urine? bacteria. What kills bacteria? peroxide. Rinse with an acid or neutral cleaner. spray your deodorizer when you are done.

In theory, that would rinse urine salts from the pile but we're all more concerned about whats a bit deeper...

whatever you use has to make contact

its not so much rinsing urine out its pH adjustment of whats there so it doesnt smell

spray heavy and extract... your dry times will suck

Mikey, your ph wasn't low enough on that hydrocide. Do you have an acid rinse of a ph around 2-3? Just use that diluted at 4:1.

Add 2 cups of Hydrocide per gallon of V-40.
Soak each spot with a pump up, USING A UV LIGHT, to make sure you get the complete spot.
I also add 1 cup of deodorizer to each gallon.
Set up, clean as usual....

OHhhh, so you used the urine enzyme with a little tide pod mixed in. Once again, your ph wasn't low enough.

And the tide pod was too diluted. When I use peroxide on urine spots, I spray the vol40 product non diluted
