I have a question on the Zipper. Can the Zipperaholics help?

I just wore my ass out yesterday on a huge commercial conference room yesterday that was 2500sq ft. I would've had a better, less labor, if I was able to use my 15" wand. I had to use my 11"prochem quad on all that carpet because the floor was on concrete and it was wavy. My big wand kept going over the waves, losing connection which wasn't extracting all the water. So I had to use my smaller wand to keep it connected to the carpet.

Now, how do you zipper guys overcome that? Isn't the zipper 15" or do they make a smaller one for these situations? It would've been perfect for a zipper if it's able to extract all the heavy water

Hard to tell in the picture of course how bad the concrete is, but there are sometimes that I have had incredibly bad concrete that I had to Zipper from different angles or use a wand on part of the job....

Considering that when run at the same flow, the only reasons I can come up with for the better results is the added weight and dual vacuum ports. Some users will claim there is some magic juju going on under that shroud.

Ease of use (for most) and Lawn Mower type movement and quick drying make it a must if you HWE a lot of commercial work
or just can use a regular wand anymore due to repetitive stress/carpial issues

Agitation is sometimes still key for me but as most know, the Zipper Wands are some of my favorite tools.

Fast, incredible dry times, great flushing...

Money maker for us...

Highly recommended.

also, do you ever run a 175 or OP machine behind your Cimex with a bonnet to "Mop Up The Slop"?

You can only (hope) to encap/hide so much soil..

The bonnets (best to use flat 100% cotton OP style "pads" for this) will be gummed up wiht gooey soil like you wont believe.

Thanks Mikey. I have a Cimex for commercial work but I'm not always satisfied with the results. Thats why I'm considering a Zipper wand.
We have (8) Cimex's but still use 2 Zippers when the situation requires HWE. Its thorough and fast! Other than setup, you'll process the cleaning just as fast as a Cimex.

If it does do as you say as far as speed the ONLY reason to use a Cimex would be????

Combination of weight, heat chamber, higher flow (the valve allows more flow then most wand valves), and recovery.

The Prochem Ti actually has really crappy air flow. But that's a different topic.

So with dual vac ports, do you need a blower larger than a 45?

I have a 13" Zipper Jr and a 45 blower.... I get great dry times, better than a Rotary Extractor and wand... When you use a wand, you need to hold it at a certain height to get the best suction and with a Zipper you don't... It's a lot easier to teach someone on a Zipper to clean... I use mines mostly on commercial and if the residence needs it dry faster... I'm an avid Powerhead user and the wand honestly sucks....

Some guys clean only in 1 direction pushing forward and others go back and forth...

The Zipper does clean better then a Prochem ti wand. I have both and have compared on many jobs now. The best thing about it is what Nate said. Let a new guy go to town. You don't get those stop and start over wet lines to worry about. The overall job always turns out looking better.
