With all the maintenance talk of the CRB units.....
... last night and this morning, my crb developed an uncomfortable chirping sound from the left end as it runs.
I want to believe I took care of it well even before all the talk started.

Sure enough it sounds like bearings chirping.

So what do you do now?

Zee, don't hesitate to take the gear cover off and make sure you have grease on them, as well as oiling the brush bearing and shaft from the inside. Only a drop on the outside, so it doesn't drip.

It may be that in flushing the gook off your machine, some of the water has entered the bearings. Go easy on the grease.

The bearings are sealed and not normally re-greasable, but they aren't very expensive.
