The stock Vortex ball valve on the waste tank dump has a inner diameter of maybe an inch and a half...

I had a big jumbo Lego block stuck in it today and it always drains too slow..

Will a Banjo or Gate valve have a wider opening?

Who wants to sell me one for 2" threading?

Should be a 3".

That would piss me off enough, I'd have to pay a welder to make it right.

You need a "full port" ball valve. They have the 2" opening on a 2" valve.

Mike;

The full port is the correct type.

We use these 2" full port on some TM's and in the plant:

Or you could go to Stainless.

I am not sure I could screw one of those on Larry....

The pipe is real close to the floor. I had to remove the handle form the brass ball valve to remove it for cleaning.

Those look sweet though...

How much clearance will I need?

Don't you use a coat hanger to stick up there and unclog it?

Thats why they use filters.

To unclog a dump valve.

Open valve
Start cleaning unit
block off vac ports to force incoming air to enter through dump valve.
this will undo the blockage.

Of course if you have items or debris in the tank larger then the hole in the bottom of the tank it will re clog after a short time some after water is out of tank remove lid and remove the debris.

What are you doing stealing some kids toys any way? :)

Mikey;

I found some more size info on the 2" full-port ball valve.

The center to handle bolt dimension is 2.7".

You'll have to check the clearance on your recovery tank. If it clears, the price of the valve is $45.

No one is fessing up to sucking up the lego....

Could be it was near the hose when we turned on the TM.

Sucked a kid up to his arm pit once, why not a lego?

Mike,

NEVER start that machine without the vac hose hooked to the wand. If a kid or pet gets the hose too close to their face, they are dead.

I had a cleaner tell me they hooked their hose up to the truck and when they went to the wand they had no suck. They had it at the truck but not at the wand. He pulled the first section apart and found a dead kitten in the hose!

The guy that told me is a little full of crap but thats what he said.
