I was a hack for a day!

well not really the whole day, just the last room. Had a huge house to clean last Wednesday and because of old age, I was beat by the time I got to the lower level carpet (not installed). It was the most soiled of the entire place. So instead of grooming it, I did what every other cleaner does - did the shark tooth dry passes.

Customer was happy. I got a check.

Get that money, I was supposed to be off for 3 days a lady who spends $600 plus 3 times a year. Because of schnauzers...

I know some make a mint on pee.

But my philosophy is dogs keep us busy, if I don't gouge thier wallets.

I must confess, I've been sharktoothing a bunch lately as well. I'm sure it's affecting the dry time negatively, but I'm getting tired.

@sassyotto @Matt Wood, you did what was best for you at the time. It would be unwise to hurt yourself when you are tired. I have done the same. Safety First.
Personal growth comes when you recognize when you have done wrong, analyze it, and strive to improve.

This is the same with our religious or political beliefs. Sadly, we are often governed by our ego and the "fight" part of our survival instincts.
The truth is often in the middle of two opposing viewpoints that may be extreme from each other.

The Koran discourages debating while you are heated or angry; when you are mad, you think with your "animal" side and not your "Spiritual" side.
Extremists of all religions violate their own scriptures and have been misled by bad teachers.

@SamIam I say this to help you and not hurt you. You might be happier if you increased your own self-worth and valued your time more.
I realize SOCal has a lower living index than the Bay Area, But it is still in CA.
Do you realize that, after expenses, half or more of that money went to Taxes?

It was actually closer to 1500-2000 SQ ft house is huge 4 150 SQ bedrooms with beds and dressers.

Couple great rooms, 4 halls loft 170 SQ ft 15 step 7 ft wide.

But yeah it's still alot

I think leaving the sharks teeth adds a bit of beauty to trashed out carpet. It's a nice touch.

I've been thinking that during this recession that's about to hit I may have to stoop to a little splash n dash to stay in business. I'm normally booked a month out. Right now I'm barely booked a week out. People are tightening up their wallets in my area.

Some like the shark tooth pattern because it can camoflage imperfections.

Have a double grandi old but still good if you want it ...40 some odd inches wide...
if they had made an extension handle would have been user friendly but if you want it ...

I find imperfections equal wear, not soil.

Kinda like how Lisa Wagner sets the pile on wool and it looks better in one direction then the other.

Just don't make a habit of push grooming with your wand.
