<!--[if gte mso 9]><xml> <o:OfficeDocumentSettings> <o:AllowPNG/> </o:OfficeDocumentSettings> </xml><![endif]--> We’re incredibly busy here so to help the guys in the back I cleaned upholstery a couple of days last week.
One divan was covered with cat hair, I mean covered with it. We had charged extra just for pet hair removal. I spent 20 minutes just vacuuming and when I finished it looked like a whole new piece. It also had some stains that looked like the cat had eaten on the divan. Being a cotton print I knew removal was iffy at best. I cleaned it put it out and the sun and it dried within an hour. Treated the stains and they bleached down to where it was nearly perfect.
I had another piece I did that was an oversized microfiber double recliner divan and recliner. It was designed to look like leather and it did appear from a distance as leather. Black water rings from where the homeowner had worked on it and it smelled of urine. Small child had a few accidents on it. Cleaned it twice and applied Odorcide several times as I narrowed down where the odor was coming from. Increased the dilution and saturated the area and knocked it out.
Had another set of microfiber recliners that looked like the rebuilt a motor on them. Grease and oil, they look like they were beyond saving. Nasty work! Preconditioned, agitated them and let them dwell.
Extracted them and it made some good progress, let them dry and the following day cleaned and second time with the same procedure. They looked like new.
I was feeling pretty cocky but a lady dropped off a new off white linen loveseat. Her husband marked the bench seat and the inside arm and pillow with a line of grease. I spotted it with OMS and removed quite a bit. Worked on it several times last week but couldn’t get it all out.
I could probably wet it and might be able to remove some more but being new, I’m reluctant to do too much and own the spots.
So I guess I’m a mere mortal after all.
