Reg will using the port with a back pack make it more or less effective then a Certified Pile Lifter?
Well, I have never been super impressed with the certified especially after comparing what a
CRB will do for dry soil removal/pile lifting when only the catch trays are used. Two brushes are always better than one....and as Desk Jockey mentioned, that bag leaks like crazy.
With a hepa filtered vac it performs great. We have tested with front and back (connected with a t splitter) as well as rear alone and prefer the rear only attached. It is simply is too inconvenient running front and back with no significant gain.
I have never tried with a truck mount but I'm sure it would be fantastic. However as Scott mentioned, slightly cumbersome dealing with the hose and you would also need to deal with the wet down aspect before hitting the blower. Not sure if all that is worth the gain...maybe it is?
If you get one, when starting both vac and
crb up, make sure you start the
crb and then the vac. Also only use a 50' 12 gauge power cord (or 10 if you have to go longer) the healthier the power the more likely you wont be tripping breakers.
