I'm beginning to get tired of my inline filters

So I ditched them and the basket a few weeks ago. I still keep them on hand for nasties but for normal carpets I just clean as usual and rinse the tank good at the end of the day and run filterless. If I am running the apo, I always make sure to clean the tank good and always use a filter.

You should check out Mytee's new inline filters.

I sure hope they make them for 2.5, and swivel cuffs as well in the not so distant future. Other than that, I really like the design.

I ditched all filters except for the blower inlet and the tank still keeps pretty clean, so long as you crack the valve ALL the way open when you dump.

friend of mine...and Sub...hasn't had a filter in years. Cleans out his tank and he has never had a problem. I always made fun of him but you never see him cleaning out his filter with that " I just took a dump" look on his face.

Quote: I put knee high stockings on my blower filters and vacuum ports with a rubber band. On the vacuum ports just let it suck it in and put a rubber band around it so it doesn't suck all the way in the tank.
Then just connect your hoses to it. Then when your done all you have to do is open the tank and throw the stockings away.

If you put knee highs on your vacuum ports and you get any build up in the stocking, wouldn't that create a severe air flow blockage? The whole point of going filter-less was to prevent air flow loss. I get around this by hooking up two inline filters with a y when I use them or changing them out during the job. Eventually I will go to the Jim Martin modifications. My vac ports are 2 inch and if I got a wad of lint and hair that was wet in the end of a stocking I can see how that would reduce that 2 inch port to 1/2 an inch. That would be like placing the stocking between your sections of hose. Any build up would severely reduce airflow.

I haven't ran any filter in quite a while, and I love it ,but you have to watch your blower filter alot more.

I never clean out our waste tank, replace a new knee high most every job. Owners of carwashs let us dump with no questions, cause we dump only soiled water not fibers and stuff that plug their filters.

I have some pictures of my filters in the garage sale. Devastator I can make any hose set-up you want. Running filterless is the best performance.
I did it for a while the problem is when you dump you need to dump through some sort of filter to catch all the crap. Alot of jobs I do I need to dump sooner or later and I did like having to pick the crap out of the grass.
